I'm a tough woman! at 23, i've already been to a lot of fight with anyone who tried to pull me down. I'm a woman of the world, and that's what i'm trying to prove and show to everybody. But it is so easy to talk, it is just damn so easy to tell everyone i'm tough! that no one can hurt me.
But hey, i'm still human. I'm like anybody who easily gets hurt and still, life goes on!
At 21, i got pregnant. My boyfriend promised changes in our relationship and of finding a job that would support my pregnancy. things weren't easy with him around but i have to lean on him during those time. but hes promises never happened. he still remained sucker, self-centered, and bum.
i was working when i was 3 months pregnant. it help me get out of our house more often, hide my condition a little longer to my family. but hiding my condition was the worst thing i ever did. he knew that i was hiding my pregnancy, he knew i was scared, and damn he used it to get money from me. i knew that he couldn't shoulder all the expenses so i was trying to save up some for the birth of my baby. but he never cared for me nor for the baby. all he wanted was to get money from me. he even took the money i'm saving up for my check up. if i refused to give any, he'd threatened me. whenever he wanted something, he made it sure that hed get it or i'm gonna be damned again.for six months of my pregnancy, that's all he did.
it only stopped when my family found out my condition. but my mom wanted me to marry him. i agreed hoping he'd changed. but he never did. when he's short in money, he'd asked me to give him. if i refused he'd tell me that he'd come to my mom and tell her that he won't marry me. i backed out on marrying him. i sick of him calling me names, cursing me.

Philippines: what makes a good president?
What we need is a president with a common sense for the common good. He may not be a qualified MENSA member, at least he understands and comprehends the current devastating situation of our country. He may not also be a degree holder. We have been under the executive ability of too many degree holder, but each of them just contributed to the lowly state of our country. I accept that having completed your education is a fine thing and a major need. But once in a while it is overrated. And it is not the only imperative qualification. And, as for me, a person would make a very fine president even without the diploma. What do you need the diploma for, anyway? To me it makes you overlook the more consequential things such as your real purpose in life. Because of it, we ignore the fact that we have known a lot more things than what were indicated in our Transcript of Records, we can fulfill a lot more things than what were stated in our resume, and that we are worth a lot more than the fixed amount written in our payslip.
The more indispensables things in life are learned not inside the school, but outside its proximity... and they are free. Even the privileged ones can draw near and learn so they both will earn the same education. As mark Twain said, "I don't let schooling interfere with my education." Both the thing you learn outside and inside the school counts, but whats weightier to me are the lessons dispensed to you unrestrained. He may have been excellent and admirable academic wise but certainly it is not enough when it comes to running the goings on of the state. It is no guarantee that he can manage the entire situation appropriately ands the as it progresses, put the country in, at least, equilibrium.
Years, earlier, we were competitive. Along with our resources and riches, no doubt with reference to that. We were decently provided for. But it is the way the resources were exhausted. they were not utilized the right way. And so the tree that bears money is sinking towards death. What can we do to rescue it? We started out just, if not more advanced, leveled with other Southeast Asian countries. But where are we now? We are left behind. We are living in a squalid society. Invasions of other countries are everywhere. Like the recent dissenting effect of the globalization in our country. A lot of imported products are purchased for a much lower price as compared to our own commodities. So we, with something in view of our circulating financial status, would surely opt for the imported ones. So much for being nationalistic. It won't feed us.
Why? Because of the leaders. I have read somewhere that the first rule of leadership is "everything is your fault". Too strong a word but somehow it makes sense. You can't put the blame on the commoners even though they are the majority of this country for the very reason that they are mere followers. they always remain under the leadership of one man. Even though they tried a lot of times to rebel, because they are sick of the leadership and consequently, the leaders. We are the body always found just below the head. So it is important, too, that the leader harmonizes with the people. Because the works in progress are done by both parties.
He must further some have not just sight but vision. As they say, "...you may lose your sight but never your vision." What good is being the head of the state when all he can see is the tip of the nose of the next man? What he may see before him today are all problems, but surely, if he looks harder and farther still, he would find, just before the horizon, are the solutions. Then the horizon is the outcome, which is the betterment of our current lives. Problems, solutions and outcome. Three bold steps, which are extremely far away from each other. So he must see where exactly lead his feet. the feet are us.
He must not likewise be daunted in taking a giant leap towards changing the course of history where presidents cling to the affluent citizens. And in return, let himself succumb in their power. That is no president. A president may not act alone but definitely he is not governed over. What is the use of being the head when somebody else is above you? Helping hands are great, as long as they knew where they stand, but when they start to lord it over, that's another story. Surely a president needs help. the president must in like manner be able to impart to us the value of teamwork. Just because he is the president does not mean he will have to shoulder the problems all by him, self. he must involve us. he can not do it alone. He is not superman.
The president must be spontaneous, as well. For after all, calamities are spontaneous, too. They are not predicted or if they are already known beforehand, the maleficent result is never revealed until it is over. Then problem after problem arises. What could a president do? I don't know, too. It is his job. So i think that spontaneity is also a primary requisite. Or maybe if he is not spontaneous, he must have plans. Plan A-Z if he must. If it does not work, there will always be numbers 0-9displayed above the chalkboard of every primary school right after the alphabet. so he can just jump from one plan to another should one would not work.
Would we want an under dog president? I would not personally prefer that. Referring to our current circumstances, every president always ends up the low man on the totem pole. the president is the one in the position but a lot of the rich, famous and influential businessmen are behind his actions. We voted for him because he promised to alleviate the burdens of the poor. but he adds up to it. Presidents succeeded in instilling in me the idea that they are all pains in hte neck. comparable to the Marcos regime, they called themselves the reform oligarchs. I have read that from Ricardo Manapat. It was pretty biased, though I an not sure of it was all true or he doctored it, too. It showed all the flaws of the Marcos presidency. It showed that his presidency had no decency at all. It was not just Ferdinand Marcos who was ruling us. Oligarchs. Meaning they are more than one. But we only voted for just a president. It could have been A-OK had they been after the diminution of our problems. But they had ulterior motives. Maybe it could have been all right, too, had the president been acting alone on his ulterior motive-that could slacken the process of wealth accumulation and other illegal things expected from the presidents.
It does not require a genius or a superman or supergirl to get the job done. it only takes human. Presidency is the most important job in our country. It must be well taken cared of. Or surely, as history shows, it will take care of us... again.
